The main reason we drove Hwy 101 was so that we could take the kids through the Redwood Forest. Jason drove our car through a tree and you will see that there is barely any clearance! If you are curiouse, it took 14 people to hug that tree. We had to ask some other travelers to help us out!
It is really hard to capture the scope of how large the Redwoods are. I took several pictures of my kids to show the proportion along side of a tree.
I also took pictures from the car - sometimes the view is not great because we are moving but it does give you an idea of the landscape as we were passing by.
